The Maven Membership maximizes your reach on SOHOMaven. Getting a Maven Membership means you can develop a profile for your SOHO business. List products/services, news, downloads, descriptions and contact info. Better yet, your SOHO profile is visible to the entire SOHOMaven community, your product or service can be listed in the SOHO Marketplace, and your SOHO page becomes visible to search engines. All that for pennies a day!

Log in, then click on "Account Settings" and you'll be taken to the "Edit Your Details" page. Simply change type in a new username and click "Submit." Your username is changed?
Creating your own profile has tons of benefits. Put forward a face to show the greater SOHO community by answering questions about yourself. Let others know who you are, what you do, and why you do it. Share your professional background and your expertise. Better yet, upgrade to a Maven Membership and create a showcase for your SOHO. Upload a logo, feature news, showcase products and services, and more.
Once logged in, you can edit your profile in two ways: First, you could click Account Settings in the upper right hand corner. You will be taken to the "Edit Your Details" page, where you can make changes to your profile as you see fit. Second, you could go to your Profile page, and click "Edit Profile" under your avatar.
Your display name is the name that is publicly displayed on your profile and elsewhere (usually your real name). Your username is a combination of letters and/or numbers that you use as your login ID. Your username is also displayed with your avatar next to your comments, posts, etc. can search for other users by display name or by username.
Groups are your way of connecting with other SOHO individuals who have shared interests. Search the Groups to join. Don't see what you're looking for? Create a new Group and invite friends to join!
When a Group is created, the creator of the Group has several options. The Group could be Open to All, where anyone can join. Second, it could be set up as "Approval to Join", where joining the group requires approval by the Group Manager. Lastly, a Group could be created as "Invitation to Join", where members may join only by invitation from a member of the group.
You can post a message to the Group's Bulletin Board. On your Group's page, click "Group Bulletins". There, you can compose and post your own bulletin to the Group.
Only the Group Manager (usually the one who created the Group) can delete Group members. If you are the Group Manager, go to the Group Members section of your Group. In the list of members, you can choose to delete certain members, or make them inactive.
SOHO Ask is a place to tap into the collective knowledge and expertise of the SOHO community. Post a question, get answers from your peers, then share which answer you think is best! Or, search other questions to see what's currently being asked on SOHOMaven.
You must be a registered user to post a question or an answer. All registered members, including Maven Members, are free to post questions and answers.
SOHOMaven rewards sharing knowledge and expertise. Members who supply the most "Best Answers" can be displayed as "Featured Experts" on the SOHO Ask page. Additionally, members whose answers are chosen as "Best Answers" earn points toward rewards. See the Rewards section for more info about rewards.
Currently, SOHOMaven does not host transactions for items listed in the Marketplace. If you are interested in a specific product or service listed by a Maven Member, visit their SOHO Profile and send them a Quick Message, or you can use the contact information provided.
You can report a user by clicking on "Report User" on his/her profile. You can describe the inappropriate/abusive content in the message box that appears. A SOHOMaven administrator will review the report and take action if deemed necessary.
