For home-based entrepreneurs there is a ton of freedom and autonomy. But too much work at home has a downside—isolation. Spending all your working hours in a home office bubble is not very balanced, and at times counterproductive. The need to collaborate with other people in our respective industries is in our human DNA. I find it ironic that despite all the technology that enables us to work from home—computers, internet, email, conference calls, and text messages—basic face-to-face, human interaction is such a necessary, vital component to home office success. If nothing else, getting out of the home office breaks up the monotony.
